As a natural addition to the training Qualitrain currently provides, Qualitrain Engineering Academy will be delivering a range of Engineering Apprenticeship Standards including Engineering Operative Level 2, Engineering Technician Level 3, General Welder Level 2, Metal Fabricator Level 3, and Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Level L3.
In addition to full apprenticeships, our experienced Engineering team at the Academy will also deliver a range of welding and fabrication short courses.
Qualitrain Group CEO, Richard Bates, said of the opening:
“We have recognised for some time, with our work across many industry sectors, the need for skilled engineering training and the necessity to focus on traditional engineering craft skills and bench fitting techniques. Today, these techniques are at the very heart of the current skills gap we have across UK industry.
Our company vision is to safeguard British Manufacturing in the face of strong competition by delivering high quality service, training and assessment. We are strongly committed to protect our industries and to support the innovation that generates wealth for our country. We are proud to be part of the UK’s Engineering and Industrial heritage and the educational systems that support growth through continuous improvement and personal development.”
The launch of the Academy comes following the continuous growth of Qualitrain Ltd, which has recently been awarded “Best Performance Improvement Training Provider 2021” in the Midlands Enterprise Awards. Qualitrain was recently awarded a “Good” Ofsted rating across the board as well as holding Silver Investors in People, ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and Matrix quality accreditations.
The Qualitrain team is excited about working together to develop the Academy to be best in class.
