What will the apprentice be doing?
- Attend coaching sessions as required to by your course schedule, and complete all assignments on time, to a high standard
- Once trained, undertake quality checks across our wide portfolio of packaging products with equipment including photospectrometer and crockmeter
- Assist with the calibration of equipment at regular intervals
- Assist with root cause analysis and implementation of correction actions in case of non-conformances
- Support the completion of relevant documentation and communications to colleagues and supply partners during work tasks, as required by our internal processes
- Communication in reference to all things quality within our supply chain
- Assist with the maintenance of ‘Gold Seal’ approved sample library
- Ensure that health and safety regulations and practices in workplace are always adhered to
- Keep all work areas clean, tidy, safe and secure, including QC Room and Sample Room
- Assist with any other tasks in the office as directed by your line manager
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
After a period of induction, foundation skills and technical knowledge development the apprentice will be required to achieve Quality Practitioner Level 4 Apprenticeship which allows professional recognition from the Chartered Quality Institute.
The successful candidate will receive training from their Line Manager and Sponsor throughout the apprenticeship programme to ensure a clear understanding and operational knowledge of this varied role.
Apprenticeship training will be delivered online from the Training Provider two days per month.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Quality Assurance Technician. However, as a fast-expanding organisation there are many and varied ways to progress once the apprentice has qualified.
