These apprenticeships are in the form of the new Improvement Standards ranging from Level 2 through to Level 6 and various Management and Supply Chain Standards.
In addition we also provide opportunities for candidates to choose the Work Based Apprenticeship Frameworks where available. These include the highly successful Level 2 Improving Operational Performance Framework and Level 3 Operations and Quality Improvement Framework.
Level 2 – This qualification blends lean continuous improvement principles with good manufacturing practices that are required for fostering the appropriate combinations of skill, knowledge and behaviour.
Level 3 (Yellow Belt) – Improvement Technicians are responsible for the delivery and coaching of improvement activity within their area of responsibility.
Level 4 (Green Belt) – Improvement Practitioners project and change management principles using a blend of tools to identify and lead the delivery of change across organisational functions and processes.
Level 5 (Black Belt) – Improvement Specialists are responsible for leading the deployment of improvement strategy and for training others. They’re also responsible for providing deep technical expertise in advanced Lean Six Sigma, Project and Change Management principles and tools.
Level 6 (Master Black Belt) – Improvement Leaders have high-level expertise in Lean Six Sigma, Project and Change management and are recognised as the specialists in leading improvement strategy.
Level 2 – This qualification develops the learners core skills and knowledge to assist with the excavation, support and forming of tunnels and shafts in the ground needed for services such as rail lines and water works.
Level 3 – This programme is perfect for junior managers, supervisors and first line managers who have operational responsibility for a defined area of activity who specifically need to build on and develop their existing management skills and knowledge.
Level 3 – This qualification provides learners with the core knowledge, skills and behaviours to efficiently operate and control the I.T.
Level 4 – This qualification provides learners with the core skills, knowledge and behaviours to enable them to deploy strong quality processes within the organisation, ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance are fulfilled.
Level 5 – This qualification aims to equip delegates with a wide range of professional and interpersonal skills and techniques, necessary to perform effectively in middle and senior management roles.
Level 2 – This qualification provides learners with the opportunity to gain core skills, knowledge and behaviours to carry out fundamental Engineering operations.
Level 3 – This qualification upskills learners to demonstrate a core set of behaviours in order to be competent in their job role and complement wider business strategy and development.
Level 3 – This qualification provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to carry out metal fabrication work using things such as rolled steel joists, columns, channels, steel plate and metal sheet etc.
Level 2 – This qualification provides learners with the opportunity to gain core skills and knowledge enabling them to support to Rail Engineers and Technicians.
Level 3 – A Rail Engineering Technician has the core skills and knowledge to provide support to Rail Engineers working on The Railway.
Level 3 – This qualification teaches the core skills required for maintaining the safety, integrity and effective operation of plant and equipment in manufacturing and engineering organisations.
Level 2 – This programme provides the core skills, knowledge and behaviours required to succeed as a General Welder, working with metals to create high-strength welds in 2 welding positions, using at least 1 arc welding process.
