New Levy Funded Black Belt Improvement Specialist Apprenticeship

After months of waiting, businesses and organisations across the country will be delighted to hear that the Improvement Specialist Apprenticeship (Black Belt) standard is now available to be delivered under the Apprenticeship Levy.

The Improvement Specialist standard is the equivalent of what industry has long known as a Six Sigma Black Belt – a hugely valuable training programme which empowers managers to lead the deployment of improvement strategy, train other team members in crucial improvement techniques and strategies, and provide vital technical expertise in advanced Lean and Six Sigma, Project and Change Management principles.

This advanced training has up until now been a full-cost option, however, now businesses paying the Apprenticeship Levy can use their contributions to fund the Six Sigma Black Belt programmes for the very first time. Non-Levy paying businesses will also be able to obtain 90% funding for the qualification.
