After months of waiting, businesses and organisations across the country will be delighted that the Improvement Specialist (Black Belt) standard is now available to be delivered under the Apprenticeship Levy.
The Improvement Specialist standard is the equivalent of what industry has long known as a Six Sigma Black Belt – a hugely valuable training programme which empowers managers to lead the deployment of improvement strategy, train other team members in crucial improvement techniques and strategies, and provide vital technical expertise in advanced Lean and Six Sigma, Project and Change Management principles.
This advanced training has until now been a full-cost option, but now businesses paying the Apprenticeship Levy can use their contributions to fund Six Sigma Black Belt programmes for the first time. Non-Levy payers will also be able to obtain 90% funding.
