Online Apprenticeships such as our open programmes, have huge benefits for both employers and learners.
Open Programmes allow for the enrolment of individual apprentices or smaller groups, meaning that whole departments aren’t away from their workplace duties for training sessions at the same time.
However, with multiple online apprenticeships being delivered concurrently, just how can standardisation and quality across our delivery be ensured?
All of our Open Programmes are delivered via virtual classrooms in Microsoft Teams. Each cohort has their own MS Team Class, which their Tutor uses as an “Administration hub”. Here is where learner assignments are kept, always ensuring it’s the latest version.
The use of the Microsoft Teams Faculty allows for Tutors to have a live view of learners work and monitor their progress continuously throughout the programme. The way Qualitrain have set this up means that our operational leads are able to carry out confirmation checks to ensure the quality of the work submitted by each learner, as well as the feedback given by the Tutor.
Our staff receive regular in-house training on Microsoft Teams and all the functions accessible through the faculty licence.
All of the curriculums that we teach have lesson plans and syllabi in place to ensure the same subjects are being taught to each cohort. We ensure that our Tutors and Assessors are involved with the development of curriculum for each of the programmes that we deliver and hold curriculum specific standardisation sessions with Teachers. As part of the process, we conduct material development sessions with managers and teachers every 2-weeks.
As Business Improvement Experts, we are consistently implementing Improvement Projects within our processes that underpin the standard way of teaching and material use.
